This isn’t your typical “hover by the bar and hope for the best” dating event.
We’ve designed a special evening with playful interactive experiences and a curated group that’s ready for some fun and meaningful connection!
What we do have:
What we don’t have:
We are gathering humans who are:
open to dating someone of a different gender (this is a hetero-flexible event)
actually looking for something long-term: substantial connection, real partnership, and yes, love.
more monogamous, monogamish or open-relationship than poly.
aged between late twenties to early-forties*. Old enough to have a favorite olive oil, young enough to still make questionable decisions on a Tuesday. *This isn’t a strict requirement but a general trend.
We also have a limited number of reduced-price tickets.
First-come, first-serve!
Step #1:
Join our newsletter (below!) and think about a friend you’d love to come with
Step #2: Fill out a mini form
Distract yourself from your U8 ride with our 3 min form.
Honestly, that’s not that long.
You and a friend (from any gender) will have to fill it out separately.
Step #3: Book a 10 min video call
Each of you book a 10 min video call with one of us, during your coffee or your lunch break.
You’ll be asked cute questions about what makes your friend awesome.
Nothing to prepare on your side!

You and your friend show up early evening to a super cool venue in central Berlin (no soulless basements, promise).
The night runs about three hours: we’ll kick things off with a few ice breakers and curated experiences to help you actually meet the people in the room, not just circle the bar awkwardly.
After that, you’ll have time to mingle, connect, and see which conversations grow.
And yes, you can grab food and drinks at the counter along the way.
Our next event is March 1, 2026! Sign up for our newsletter to get an invite to apply!
Age range: late twenties to early-forties*. Which basically means you’ll mostly meet people in their thirties, old enough to have a favorite olive oil, young enough to still make questionable decisions on a Tuesday.
*This isn’t a strict requirement but a general trend.
We’re centering people who are actually looking for something long-term: substantial connection, real partnership, and yes, love. The big kind, not just a weekend fling (we know, rare bread in Berlin… but they do exist).
The crowd will likely lean more monogamous, monogamish or open-relationship than poly but the thread that ties everyone together is curiosity, respect, and the hunger for something genuine.
This format is built for hetero and pansexual folks. And listen, we adore our queer fam too much to invite you somewhere you might not find your flavor of butter. We know how frustrating it can feel to show up somewhere and not find your people.
Rather than offering you crumbs, we’d rather bake a whole loaf: dedicated queer get-togethers are in the works! If you’re interested, definitely hop on the newsletter so you’re the first to know when they drop.
We’re busy whipping up the LikeButter Manifesto, a survival guide for gatherings that don’t feel like networking hell, but actually smooth, groovy, and real.
We’re calling in people who want genuine connection, not Tinder tourists, not clout chasers. The kind of humans whose friends would bet good money on their integrity, their fun, and that elusive spark you can’t fake. That’s why we ask about your friends: your true colors show when you’re talking about them, not about yourself.
We like “yes, and…” energy. People who can get weird without making it weird. Who can go deep without turning it into group therapy. Who know how to listen, respect boundaries, laugh at themselves, and keep curiosity louder than judgment. Basically, we’re after sincerity, kindness, and oddball charm.
Our buttery traits:
At the core: a celebratory space for real connection.
Here’s how it works: in the video call, you’re not talking about yourself, you’re talking about your friend.
One of us will ask a few simple things: what makes them amazing, what you love most about them, why they’re basically a catch.
No prep, no notes, no PowerPoint. You just grab a slot in our Calendly, show up as you are, and answer a few questions on the spot for 10 minutes with us. The whole point is that it’s spontaneous.
Then your friend does the exact same thing, but about you. 🙂
We don’t claim psychic powers or the ability to spot an a**hole within 30 seconds. But if anyone should be running this, it’s us.
Sasha has five years of professional matchmaking experience (yes, for love!), during which she’s interviewed over 1,000 singles and set up hundreds of dates. She understands what makes people tick.
Clara spent five years designing high-end sex-positive events, each with a 20-minute interview. After meeting hundreds of applicants, she’s developed a fine-tuned sense for who brings openness, kindness, and curiosity, and who simply isn’t the right fit for the room.
Together, we’ve developed a knack for spotting lovely humans that will likely get along.
The event will be run in English, with participants from both German and English-speaking backgrounds.
Nope. No dress code. Just wear whatever makes you feel like yourself, comfortable, confident, or a little extra if that’s your vibe.
No, don’t worry, there’s no spotlight, no crowd staring, and definitely no PowerPoint.
We’ll have some nice ice breakers where you might brag about your friend, but it’ll be in small, relaxed moments, not a public performance while you sweat through your shirt.
Ideally, yes, applying with a friend who identifies as a different gender helps us maintain a balanced group.
That said, you’re absolutely welcome to apply with a friend who identifies as same gender as well.
Just to note: we pay close attention to gender balance at all of our events.
Yes, but here’s how it works: your second +1 will also need to bring their own friend.
In that case, you’ll vouch for them during the application process, just like your first duo did for you.
Everyone still comes in pairs, that’s the butter rule.
Yes, you can roll in with the same friend you did the video call with. But if they’re suddenly unavailable (or fell madly in love and vanished!) you can ask someone else to apply up to 10 days before the event.
If you don’t have any friend available before that time or if they don’t get accepted, then unfortunately you can’t come to the event.
Nope, everyone comes as a duo.
If one of you can’t make it, the other just needs to ask another friend to apply up to 10 days before the event. Think of it as a chance to introduce another great human.
For the full lowdown, check the question ‘Do I have to attend the event with the same friend from my video call?
Because spots are limited and we run an application process, tickets are generally non-refundable.
The one exception: if your duo (that means both of you) can’t make it to the event, you can refer a friend (who applies with their own friend). If their application is accepted, we’ll refund you and your friend.
Example: Tim & Matha can’t make it to the event, and they would like to get their money back. Martha recommends Luisa, who’ll have to apply with a friend of hers, Marc. They both get accepted through the application process. Then, they are able to buy tickets and Tim & Martha get their refund.
Tickets can’t be transferred to just anyone, you either show up with your friend, or ask your best people to go through the application process.
Whatever you share before, during, or after a LikeButter event stays in the room. What melts with Butter, stays with Butter.
Please note that we will have a professional photographer present at the event. By attending, participants consent to the use of photographs and video recordings in which they may appear for promotional and commercial purposes across our communication channels (including website, social media, newsletters, and advertising), without limitation in time or territory.
